Unlimited Logistics B.V. is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner — reducing emissions, managing waste responsibly, protecting water quality, and supporting the communities in which we operate, while continuing to provide essential infrastructure for global energy supply.
Working Toward ISO 14001 Certification Across Our Terminal Network
We are building our environmental management system in line with the ISO 14001:2015 standard at our Rotterdam terminal, with the aim of extending certification to our subleased terminals in Houston, Jurong, Fujairah, and Ningbo-Zhoushan. This involves systematic identification of environmental aspects, legal compliance tracking, objective-setting for environmental improvement, and preparation for independent third-party audit verification as our operations mature.
Environmental Initiatives
What We Are Doing
Vapor Recovery Units
High-efficiency vapour recovery units (VRU) planned for all floating roof and fixed roof tanks with vapour connections, aimed at minimizing VOC emissions during product receipt and dispatch.
Wastewater Management
Wastewater treatment system treating all tank drains and bunded area drainage before discharge, monitored against local environmental authority limits.
Renewable Energy Targets
Committed to sourcing 50% of terminal electricity from renewable sources by 2027, rising to 100% by 2030. Solar panels planned for terminal buildings and office facilities.
Carbon Footprint Reduction
Scope 1 and 2 emissions baseline being established for annual reporting. Target of 40% reduction in absolute GHG emissions by 2030 against our initial baseline.
Biodiversity & Ecosystem
Native vegetation management on terminal boundaries and support for local biodiversity initiatives near our terminal locations, including Maasvlakte, Rotterdam.
Circular Economy
Terminal waste segregation and recycling programme. Recovered product from tank cleaning returned for processing rather than disposed of as waste.
