Petroleum Laboratory Testing at Our Rotterdam Terminal

Product quality is non-negotiable in the petroleum industry. Our on-site petroleum laboratory at our Rotterdam terminal provides testing that eliminates the delays associated with sending samples to an external laboratory. Every product received into or dispatched from Rotterdam is subject to quality verification against agreed specifications.

Our laboratory is equipped with analytical instruments capable of performing the ASTM and EN test methods relevant to crude oil, diesel EN 590, Jet A1 aviation fuel, and D6 fuel oil. Instruments are calibrated against certified reference standards, and our test methodology follows ISO/IEC 17025 principles — we do not currently hold formal ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

For custody transfer operations — whether vessel-to-shore, shore-to-vessel, or pipeline transfers — our laboratory provides quantity and quality determination in support of the transaction. We coordinate with independent inspection agencies of the client's choice, such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek, to provide accredited third-party verification where required by trade contracts or letters of credit.

Our other terminals — Houston, Jurong, Fujairah, and Ningbo-Zhoushan — do not have an on-site Unlimited Logistics B.V. laboratory. For those locations, we arrange sampling and testing through approved independent inspection agencies operating at each port, so clients still receive consistent, documented quality data wherever their product is stored.
